The ABC’s program honors the local construction industry’s general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects.
Four Seasons New Orleans, Excellence in Historical Restoration/Renovation
The historic tower known as the World Trade Center has been re-imagined into the Four Seasons New Orleans Hotel and Residences. The 33-story, luxury hotel and residential complex consists of 341 guest rooms, 81 condos, and 11 penthouses. The $350 million project included an extensive exterior façade restoration, structure core reinforcement, and new 4-level podium structure for the property’s amenities.
Newman Performing Arts Center, Excellence in Institutional
The new 8,500sf Joy and Boysie Bollinger Performing Arts Center provides Newman School with 2 new rehearsal halls, practice rooms and musical support space. The facility, which ties into two historic buildings on campus, features extensive sound isolation and absorption components to optimize it for acoustical performances.
LSU Health Sciences Center Clinical Science Research Building Addition, Merit Gold in Institutional
This $90 million project provided a new 2-story generator building to power the LSU Health Science Campus, a new 8-story addition to the Clinical Science Research Building, an animal transport bridge from the CSRB to the Medical Education Building, and along with various MEP system upgrades to the existing CSRB and MEB buildings.
