St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Facility
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Training Facility is a new 40,000-square-foot complex built to train new recruits and provide ongoing education for active officers. Located on the sheriff’s existing campus, the facility brings together classrooms, a multipurpose room, a weight-training area, and a modern shooting range — all under one roof.
The design uses durable materials and smart construction to create quiet, open, and flexible spaces. Classrooms feature precast stone and high clerestory windows that let in natural light while keeping privacy. The multipurpose room opens onto a large patio for outdoor hand-to-hand training. Other areas use textured block and large picture windows to give each space its own look and feel.
Overall, the building delivers a safe, practical, and long-lasting training environment focused on performance and usability for the men and women who serve the community.
