Our Work

New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute

Woodward recently completed the historic renovation of the New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institute (NOCHI).

The 5-story building, which had been vacant since 2004, was originally intended to be an artist guild, with showroom and private studio spaces. Now, NOCHI provides education and hands-on training to our city’s service industry. The institute boasts thirteen separate kitchens and cooking areas, lecture halls, classrooms and office space. In addition to cooking and bartending techniques, students at NOCHI have the opportunity to learn about the restaurant business, including bookkeeping and product purchasing.

NOCHI is also home to Tulane University’s new Stewart Center School for Executive Education, which includes the A.B. Freeman School of Business’ executive MBA program and custom, non-degree programs for professionals, the Goldring Institute for International Business and a newly launched program in Entrepreneurial Hospitality.
