The challenge presented to the team at Woodward was a complete renovation of the 105,000 square foot hotel in a 4 month period, all while keeping the hotel in operation throughout. Keeping the maximum number of rooms open at any one point during the renovation ensured a higher cash flow for the property during the renovation. The Woodward team once again exceeded the owner’s expectations by finishing the project ahead of schedule and under budget.

The property’s dramatic transformation took it from outdated to modern in a few short months. Woodward’s team worked long hours and weekends to complete the renovation in such a short timeframe. Each week, 25 hotel rooms were turned over to keep occupancy up. All the while, the project team worked carefully around the public and support areas to renovate the five story atrium, lobby, meeting areas, commercial kitchen, fitness room and more.
