Factor’s Row
A historic renovation of the 19th Century Factors Row and Thiberge buildings in the 400 block of Carondelet Street and the 800 block of Perdido Street revitalized a row of buildings that had been vacant since Hurricane Katrina.
Woodward’s historic renovation of the 19th Century Factors Row and Thiberge buildings in the 400 block of Carondelet Street and the 800 block of Perdido Street revitalized a row of buildings that had been vacant since Hurricane Katrina. The project, which was partially funded by federal and state historic tax credits, resulted in 49 apartment units and ground-floor retail space.
The historic architectural features of the Italiante-style façades remained intact. All of the second, third and fourth floors of the building and a portion of the bottom floor were renovated into one and two bedroom residential units. Two fifth-floor penthouse units with three bedrooms each are also included. 10,000 square feet on the bottom floor of the building houses various retail tenants, in units fronting Carondelet Street and Perdido Street.
