Gulf Coast Preconstruction Leader

Josh Gettys serves as Woodward’s Gulf Coast Preconstruction Leader, bringing more than 25 years of experience in estimating, preconstruction, development, and project leadership across a wide range of markets and delivery methods.

Located in Woodward’s Pensacola office, Josh strengthens Woodward’s preconstruction program, building new client relationships, and supporting strategic opportunities throughout the Gulf Coast region. Known for his collaborative approach and ability to bring clarity to complex projects, he works closely with owners, design teams, and internal stakeholders to align project vision, budget, constructability, and schedule from the earliest stages of development.

Throughout his career, Josh has led preconstruction efforts for complex projects spanning healthcare, hospitality, historic renovation, commercial, and mixed-use developments. His background includes executive leadership roles with regional and national contractors, as well as experience representing owners and developers from concept planning through construction completion. This broad perspective allows him to create value for clients while positioning projects for long-term success.

Josh holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University and maintains several industry credentials, including LEED AP, Certified Construction Manager (CMAA), OSHA certifications, and Construction Specifications Institute accreditation. His leadership skills and core values have been shaped by his military service in The United States Army Special Operations Command, with several deployments and held DOD security clearance.

Josh’s leadership, regional expertise, and proven ability to guide projects play an integral role in Woodward’s continued service across Alabama and the Gulf Coast.
