
Elizabeth is an architect with nine years of experience in architecture and design, bringing a deep connection to her Louisiana roots and a passion for the region’s architectural heritage. A graduate of Tulane University’s School of Architecture, Elizabeth was raised amidst the beauty of southeastern Louisiana’s architecture and the historic buildings of New Orleans. Her creative upbringing by her grandfather and father—both self-taught drafters, woodworkers, and builders—shaped her early understanding of design and craftsmanship.
Elizabeth approaches architecture with a keen sensitivity to physical and historical context, driven by a commitment to creating functional, comfortable spaces that resonate with the end user. Her design philosophy is rooted in the belief that architecture should contribute to a sustainable and vibrant future, particularly in the context of New Orleans, where history and innovation merge.
Her diverse experience across various project typologies brings a fresh perspective to the Woodward studio. Elizabeth has developed a well-rounded skill set, managing all aspects of the architectural design process, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and developing drawings and specifications from concept through final design.
Specializing in historic preservation, Elizabeth leads the design and documentation of renovation projects, with extensive expertise in navigating the permitting and approval processes for historic tax credits with regulatory agencies. Her work preserves the cultural integrity of New Orleans while integrating modern design solutions to meet current needs.
With her unique background and approach to design, Elizabeth continues to contribute meaningfully to the architectural landscape of New Orleans, balancing preservation with innovation in every project she undertakes.
