This year, Woodward proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone—Chris Michel’s 25th anniversary with the company. Chris’s entire professional career has been defined by his commitment to Woodward, having joined the firm after graduating from LSU with a degree in Construction Management.

Over the past two and a half decades, Chris has worked across nearly every facet of construction and project management. This breadth of experience has given him a deep understanding of how each role contributes to the success of our projects and our organization. More importantly, it has shaped his respect for the people behind the work and his appreciation for the value every team member brings to Woodward.

For several years now, Chris has served as Vice President of Preconstruction, where his leadership has had a lasting and transformative impact. Under his direction, Woodward’s preconstruction and cost estimating program has been significantly enhanced and optimized. He has built a highly aligned, collaborative team that operates with clarity, consistency, and trust—setting a strong foundation for project success long before construction begins.

Chris is also widely respected for the relationships he has built with our clients. He approaches each project as a shared mission, engaging in open, honest, and timely conversations—even when they are difficult. This transparency and accountability have earned him a reputation across our firm and throughout the region as a leader defined by integrity, reliability, and trust.
