Celebrating 25 years of Dedication and Leadership: Saluting Mike Wallis, VP, Gulf Coast Operations
Mike’s mentorship and collaborative approach have left a lasting mark on the team and the company’s culture.

At Woodward Design+Build, we are proud to celebrate milestones that reflect dedication and impact, and this year we honor Mike Wallis for his remarkable 25 years with the company. Over the course of his career, Mike has left a lasting mark not only on the projects he has helped deliver but also on the people he has mentored and inspired.
Among his favorite projects are the Pearl Hotel in Bay St. Louis, memorable for its unique downtown location and community impact, and Gulf Distributing in Mobile, a challenging mix of heavy foundations, tilt-wall construction, and renovations of the historic Mobile Press Register building. For Mike, projects like these reflect the variety and complexity that make construction so rewarding.
Mike describes himself as self-motivated, with a passion for mentorship and a leadership style defined by humility and confidence. He takes pride in helping his teammates grow and succeed, always encouraging them to surpass even his own achievements. Looking ahead, he is optimistic about continued growth in Woodward’s markets and confident the company will thrive well into the next century. Outside of work, Mike’s greatest joy is time spent with his wife and best friend, Linda, and supporting their grandchildren in sports, pageants, and school activities. He also enjoys metal detecting and the outdoors, which keep him balanced and grounded.
Mike’s 25-year journey is a testament to his commitment, leadership, and love for both his work and his community. His story reflects the very best of Woodward’s culture, and we are honored to celebrate his contributions as we look forward to the years ahead.
