5 Woodward Honorees Named for Excellence in Construction

Congratulations to our 2022 Excellence in Construction honorees featured in New Orleans City Business! They’re doing big things in our community, making big impacts at Woodward, and we are proud to call them ours!

Woodward is proud to share that 5 individuals on our team have been recognized by New Orleans City Business for their 2022 Excellence in Construction & Real Estate program. This program recognizes professionals that have created a positive impact in the areas of investment, jobs created or potential impact in the New Orleans area. Our team members were selected based on their professional and community involvement and achievements that have set the pace for the overall community.

Blake Bergeron, Architect Honoree  Blake is a Senior Architect with impeccable design skills and the ability to adapt to best serve our clients. Blake is always looking forward to future design trends and efficiencies. Director of Design, Don Fant, notes, “I have worked with Blake Bergeron for fifteen years, and during this time he has grown to become a talented architect and emerging leader. Blake’s passion for design, his attention to detail, and his commitment to our profession are all exemplary.”

Erik Wismar, Architect Honoree  Among other industry organizations, Erik is a member of the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC). He is passionate about affordable housing design and always seeks to learn more about the filed. In 2020, Erik led the design team for two affordable housing prototypes.

Morgan Rongey, Engineer Honoree  Morgan embodies all of Woodward’s core values: Determination, Reliability, Humility, Courage, and Teamwork. Morgan’s laser focus ensures no detail gets left behind. In additional to professional organizations, Morgan is deeply active in the District 1 Police Community Advisory Board (PCAB). Through her work, she helps citizens engage with law enforcement in a way that supports the community and aims to enhance public safety.

Casey Ginder,  Project Manager Honoree  Casey is a stellar Senior Project Manager with a keen ability to effectively manage projects and people while treating others with respect. Director of Field Operations, Bob Lipscomb, comments, “Casey’s calm demeanor allows him to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with owners, design professionals, and subcontractors. He is willing and able to take charge of a project, regardless of size and complexity, and also give details the attention they require.”

Charlie Ward, Rising Star in Construction Honoree  Charlie Ward is our first nominee to receive the Rising Star Honor! He has proven himself as a rising star in his field as be completes the City’s largest private development. The Four Seasons New Orleans Project Executive, Lee Currault, notes, “Charlie’s work ethic and attention to detail have helped raise the bar for both performance and quality for all team members. He is always ready to accept a challenge, even if it means pushing himself into unfamiliar territory.”
